Helene Hutchinson-Murray (soprano) Previously a scholarship student at DIT Conservatory Of Music And Drama under the tutelage of Edith Forrest and Colette McGahon-Tosh. She attained a distinction FTCL diploma from Trinity Guildhall London. A multiple 1st prizewinner at many national competitions in Ireland, she looks forward to singing for the 4th year at the 2017 festival of Russian Culture.
As guest soloist Helene has sung with many choirs including The Seafield Singers, Setanta choir, Cloughmore Male voice choir, The Drogheda Male voice choir, The Bohemians, St. Peter’s Male voice choir and with Jade Strings Harp and cello duo. With several recordings for RTÉ radio one and for IrishTv Helene has enjoyed a varied career which has included extensive Tv presenting.
With roles including Barbarina, Le Nozze Di Figaro, Frasquita, Carmen (Glasthule Opera), Dorabella (cover), Così fan Tutte (OTC), Andrea in Jerry Springer: The Opera (“outstanding” – Irish Independent), and most recently touring with Opera Theatre Company’s production of Carmen and Lelisir Damore. Previous oratorio performances have included soprano soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Haydn’s Stabat Mater, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, and Messiah with Cambiata Orchestraand the Orchestra of St Cecilia. She has given recitals in venues such as Castletown House, Freemasons’ Hall and at the Boyle Arts Festival. She has sung in masterclasses of the late Bernadette Greevy, Fabbio Marris, Felix Korobov, and Alison Browner. Helene looks forward to singing in Knock at the world premiere of oratorio «Mary» written by Cormac O’Duffy.
